Sports & Event Sales
(Permanent, full time)
The successful individual will:
- Coordinate and confirm sport event bids for Saskatoon.
- Maintain ongoing contact with sports leads, keeping detailed and accurate records of all correspondence within database.
- Assist in the coordination of national sport event familiarization (FAM) tours and site visits.
- Out of town sales trips to specific market areas as required (i.e. Regina, Ottawa, etc.).
- Attend Saskatoon Sports Tourism committee and sub-committee meetings as required.
Characteristics, skills, and education:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in sales and/or a combination of experience and degree, diploma or certificate in a sales related field.
- Strong knowledge of tourism industry, including sport event markets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Regular travel is required.
