Take a canoeing adventure journey back to the turbulent 1885 era during this year’s 125th anniversary of the North West Resistance. Visit sites along the South Saskatchewan River where battles raged between Louis Riel’s followers and the Canadian militia. Hike the trail from the river to General Middleton’s battle camp at Fish Creek. At trip’s end, visit the site of the final Battle of Batoche via the scenic Carlton Trail.
